Puerto Rico
Players: 3-5
Time: 120 - 180 min
Interaction: Competitive
Audience: Hardcore
2 of 4 Credits
A fairly controversial, yet highly rated board game from 2002, Puerto Rico has players running plantations and factories on the island during the colonial period. It uses novel mechanics in a well designed game, but since the players are controlling slaves as their workforce, it creates a strange playing experience, and not in a historically educational way, as the game gets most of the actual history of Puerto Rico wrong.
